Campbell Is #1 West Side Seed In OIA Baseball Playoffs

Campbell High baseball is ranked #2 in the state, and seeded #1 among West side schools in the 2017 OIA Division I baseball playoffs starting Wednesday, April 12.

It’s a 12-team tournament; the top six teams make it to the state tournament.

Campbell is the #1-seeded West team, which means they get a bye to the quarterfinals. Just one win will clinch a state berth for them.

Kapolei is seeded #3, so they have to win a loser-out first-round game just to get to the quarterfinals.

Kapolei hosts Castle on Wednesday at 3pm in that first-round game.

On Thursday at 3pm, Campbell will host the winner of the first-round game between Kaiser and Aiea.

If either team wins their quarterfinal game, they’ll clinch a state tournament berth. If not, they’ll have to win a consolation semifinal on Friday afternoon.

Friday’s main semifinals, and Saturday’s final, will be played at Les Murakami Stadium.
