The newest school in the Open Division gets the honor of playing in the league’s very first game. Kapolei (founded 2000) faces Kamehameha (founded 1887) in the opener of a Friday Night Lights doubleheader at Aloha Stadium.
It’ll be the #8-ranked Hurricanes vs. #6 Kamehameha Warriors at 5pm, followed by the unranked Waiʻanae Seariders vs. #1 Saint Louis Crusaders, the 12th-ranked team in the country, at 7:30pm.
