Miss Philippines Hawaiʻi Sings and The Royal Hawaiian Band Play At Saturday’s Kapolei Spring Fair

Princesses, live music and energetic dance — plus a petting zoo — are the star attractions of Saturday’s *free* Villages of Kapolei Spring Fair.

The event is from 9am-2pm in the parking lot adjacent to the Villages of Kapolei Rec Center.

Live Music & Dance

The Royal Hawaiian Band headlines the live entertainment.

Get ready early! The band takes the stage at 9:15am. Here is the full schedule:

9:00am-9:15am: National Anthem & Hawaiʻi Ponoʻī by Lauren Cabrera, Miss Philippines Hawaiʻi — one of several beauty queens attending the event — they’ll be sticking around to do face painting as well.

9:15am-10:00am: Royal Hawaiian Band
10:20am-10:30am: Keiki Steps Song number
10:30am-11:15am: Kapalai I ka Poli ‘Ohu o na Pali Ka’ala Cultural Hui Performance
11:15am-11:30am: Ben Carter dance number
11:30am-11:45am: Phenomenon Dance Studio — it’s their very first performance, and they give a sneak peek of it at the end of this video.

11:45am-noon: Pas De Deux Hawaii
12:30pm-1:30pm: Johnny performance

Fun For Keiki

Keiki who aren’t into the music can get their faces painted by royalty—six local beauty queens will be doing the honors. Or, they can enjoy the petting zoo provided by Paniolo Parties.

Also, a bouncy house!

Food Trucks

Hungry families can enjoy food from Heart to Table, Rocket Coffee, Legacy Grindz, MM Island Shave Ice, Goodies by Gaylene, Tasty Creyol and Jamba Juice.

Bike Valet

Parking a car can get a little challenging, so Villages of Kapolei is offering a free bike valet. You’ll be able to leave your bike in a secure, guarded area, relax and enjoy more of the music than you would if you had to wait for a stall to open up.

Vendors (Including Us!)

All this is free, thanks to the Villages of Kapolei Association and the vendors who paid for a booth at the event. Stop by and see what they have to offer.

Howzit Kapolei will also be there—we won’t be selling anything, but we will be offering a chance to sign up for our exclusive email newsletter, and would love to hear anything you have to say about the site.
