Young’s Fish Market Kapolei Will Open This Month

Young’s Fish Market, the 68-year-old local food institution, has announced that they’ll be opening their first west side location in April. The restaurant is putting the final touches on their space in Kapolei Commons, near the Bank of Hawaiʻi.

In typical low-key Young’s fashion, the announcement comes via a piece of paper taped to their door.

Here are those Facebook and Instagram pages if you want to follow yourself. Of course, we’ll also update this post when there’s an official grand opening date.

In a recent Facebook post, Young’s gave a sneak peek at the interior and the kitchen.

When I peeked inside, I saw a relatively small space. There aren’t that many seats. I suspect those picnic tables on the Kapolei Commons lawn will start getting a lot more use once Young’s opens. Local scavenging birds about about to get a lot more lau lau, butterfish, and kalua pig in their tummies. Along with the rest of the west side.

Hopefully an official grand opening will be announced soon. We’ll let you know when it is. If you want to start planning your first visit, here’s a downloadable Young’s menu.
