Teriyaki Madness Opens July 1 at Kapolei Commons
The Seattle-style teriyaki chain is known for:
- Using fresh vegetables and meat — none of the food is frozen.
- Everything’s cooked to order — not a buffet
- Big portions that are weighed exactly before cooking
Bowls come with your choice of protein (chicken, salmon, etc.), base (rice, noodles, or all veggies), and optional sides. One thing that will be unique to this first Hawaiʻi location — mac salad is on the menu.
You can get a special deal from July 1-3. A regular chicken teriyaki bowl, normally $9.99, is just $6 if you download and order from the Teriyaki Madness app for iPhones or Android.
Teriyaki Madness has more than 100 locations nationwide — including a dozen in Vegas, so locals who’ve lived or visited family there already know about it.
The Kapolei location is much larger than the typical Teriyaki Madness, with family-style seating for big groups (observing social distancing regulations, of course).
Local entrepreneur and franchise owner Ohmar Villavicencio completely remodeled the space (formerly it was the smaller Genki Sushi, before they moved to their newer spot). All the flooring, furniture, and kitchen equipment is new — along with local decor like a traditional Hawaiian proverb.
Villavicencio has promised more deals and coupons over the next few months, and we’ll keep you posted.
