Two Kapolei movie theaters — Regal Theaters at Kapolei Commons and ‘Ōlino at Ka Makana Aliʻi — reopened on Friday, August 21. Both had been closed since March 23, when the first coronavirus stay-at-home order went into effect. Consolidated’s other Kapolei location will reopen at a later date, the theater chain says.

Both theaters have similar programs for reopening: A heavy dose of classic movies, along with a few new releases.

‘Ōlino by Consolidated Theaters Reopening Movies

Tickets for classic movies are $5 for adults, $3 for children. Tickets for new releases are $12.

COVID-19 Reopening Guidelines

Both theaters are also publicizing the extra care they are taking with the dangerous virus still making its way around our island.

• All employees undergoing daily medical checks.
• You’ve got to wear a mask to enter the building, and keep it on at all times — except to eat and drink once you’re in the movie.
• Reservation system will maintain empty seats between groups.

Movies Coming Soon

On Thursday, August 27, ‘Ōlino will begin advanced ticket sales for Tenet, by Christopher Nolan, the much-anticipated sci-fi thriller. Tenet will open Thursday, Sept. 3 at ‘Ōlino.

At Regal Theaters, tickets for Tenet are already on sale. The Regal premiere of Tenet is Monday, August 31.
